When the weather is nice, we have a walking club. We explore the beautiful town of Manotick. The residents usually reminisce about when they were growing up here. The walking club is also an excellent opportunity for those new to Manotick to explore around!
During this trip, we visited a park, Watson’s Mill, Millers Oven and Tea Room and Morning Owl.
After a quick coffee and treat, we were back off to Manotick Place.
We don’t need a special occasion for a surf and turf dinner!
July, we decided why not treat ourselves and went all out for dinner. We started with French onion soup as a starter. The main course was a steak done how you like, lobster tail, garlic butter, mashed potatoes, corn and green beans. We couldn’t forget about dessert either. We had strawberry cheesecake with whipped cream. This meal would not have been complete without a glass of bubbly and some excellent servers and chefs!

Our first open house since Covid and we went big!
Our Strawberry Fields Forever open house was amazing. We decked the halls in red and had drop-in tours available all day. In the afternoon we had strawberry daiquiris, Strawberry ice cream, sliced strawberries, strawberry lemonade and an amazing Beatles Band!
Two of our nurses are expecting! We threw them a surprise baby shower.
We will miss both of these ladies dearly while they are on maternity leave, but we are so happy for them!
We invited everyone to come and celebrate with us; it was such a fun party.
Happy Father’s Day to all fathers! We wanted to celebrate ours with a golf-themed brunch.
Lots of families came to celebrate with us. We had a golfing photo booth, mini putt, a gourmet brunch buffet and chocolate golf balls!
So many reasons to celebrate this year.
It is Prom and Graduation season, and we wanted to celebrate with all the students working with us.
This month’s birthday party was prom and graduation themed. Everyone dressed up and asked someone to go with them.

Happy Canada Day!
We were all decked out in red and white. Started the morning off with a pancake breakfast. We had so many family members join us!
In the afternoon we celebrated with a band and lots of dancing.
The weather has been amazing, and we have had many fun outdoor activities this year.
Our gardening club has been hard at work. We have lots of flowers, spices and vegetables almost ready!
Axe throwing was one of the first additions to the patio this year. It is such a fun game the residents might even need a scoreboard soon!
We also love a good dance party. Whenever the weather is nice, we try to have our entertainment outside. Winey Wednesday also draws in a large crowd.
We even have a great time on rainy days!
We celebrated Dickinson Day Weekend for the first time in two years! We had to join in the festivities, of course. We built a float and walked the whole parade with some of our residents in the back of the float.
Some other residents who couldn’t go on the float came down to watch the whole parade. It was so much fun. We met so many new people and threw candy into the crowd.
After the parade on Friday, we had an open house on Saturday.
So lovely to see Manotick so vibrant again!
Last month we celebrated all of our May Birthdays with a trip to London!
We have Tea at Three every day, but we made it an extra special high tea to kick off the festivities.
After tea, we headed down to dinner. There was the big ben, double-decker busses, Queen’s Guards, and the Queen herself even stopped by to say hi!
